Muay Thai & Boxing - Brian Lidstone
Poo Choi Kru under Ajahn Suchart
Brian has several years in Muay Thai boxing under Krudar, and it shows. He was awarded his Poo Choi Kru by Ajahn Suchart from Thailand in less than 3 years which is a stunning achievement. He’s got conditioning to burn and has built an impressive list of casualties in his amateur career sporting a record of 4 wins & 2 losses with 3 finishes by KO. He’s has got high quality technique and unbelievable power behind his strikes, plus a teaching style that focuses on developing your fundamentals. Brian's classes begin with some nasty conditioning and then move to Thai pad workouts and drills that will hone your skills and keep you sweating. Sparring? Hell, yeah. Heavy bags don't hit back, so if you want fantastic striking experience, you have to go rounds with Brian. Brian will give you the power, confidence and experience you’ll need to fully develop your fighting technique, in a class that will keep you coming back. Be aware - this isn't boxercise - it's the real deal.

Boxing - Dave "The Cannon" Kilgannon
A grinning Irishman armed with a humourous disposition, a horror inspiring left hook and a head of cement, Dave "The Cannon" Kilgannon single handedly inspired and built the boxing program at Buckley MMA. With nearly 12 years of experience in competition Dave has spent countless hours honing his technique and humiliating would-be tough guys in the ring. However, despite Dave's pedigree in smashing gorillas, he has an inate ability to spar at the level of whoever is in front of him. This has made him a crowd favourite at Buckley MMA as he is very approachable and runs a safe environment that encourages people to let their hands fly but keeps people out of the emergency room.

Canadian Jiu-Jitsu - Sensei Patrick Buckley
4th Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu 1st Degree Black Belt in Karate
Don't let his pretty face fool you - Sensei Patrick is a seasoned fighter with 20 years in combat arts, and formed the original Buckley Jiu-Jitsu school in Toronto in 1999. The system of Jiu-Jitsu taught by Sensei Patrick comprises a set of stand-up tactics, take-downs and ground fighting - all the skills you need no matter where the fight takes you. Sensei Patrick has spent nearly 20 years training under Sensei Tom Sharkey: a former ETF police officer, Airborne Ranger and all around dangerous guy. These techniques have been tested in real life situations you hope will never come your way - you can't get more legit that that. But what good is a great fighter if he can't teach you what he knows? That is why Sensei Patrick has focused on developing a fun, fast-paced and comprehensive training style that will ensure that you get the most out of the class and have a great time too. Join Sensei Patrick for the syllabus training and grappling of Canadian Jiu-Jitsu, and the non-stop action of MMA.
Sensei Patrick also teaches the Kid’s Class exclusively – your child won’t be taught by some 12 year old junior black belt here! Buckley kids get the advantage of training with a 4th Degree Black Belt with 20 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (not to mention being a dad himself).
